Sterile dissections
Electrophysiology experiment
Suggested list of materials to sterilize for a electrophysiology experiment
C 0.5, 1.5ml Ependorf tubes (~50 each)
C 200 Fl & 1000 Fl
pipet tips (1 box each)
C 1 black dissection dish
C 1 transparent Sylgard Petri dish with pins
C Perfusion bottles (2 x 250ml, 1 x 500ml and an optional 1000ml)
C 1 graduated cylinder (100-250 ml)
C Several 100ml capped bottles
C Several 500ml and/or 1000ml capped bottles
C 1 beaker (250-500 ml)
C 1 box Kimwipes (wrapped in aluminum foil)
C 1 lt distilled water
C 1 lt Supplement saline solution
C Cancer Saline (1 liter for dissections kept cold; several
liters for perfusions)
Other solutions:
C Leibovitz L-15 medium (Gibco)
C Gentamicin (Gibco, 50mg/ml)
C Fungizone (Sigma, 1.25 mg/ml)
